March 12, 2015, Kochi - The Federation of Indian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (FISME) and Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), in association with Hewlett Packard (HP) organized a seminar on 'Profit Mantras for Businesses' to share key information in the field of Finance, Technology and Marketing for SME businesses. Mr. Vishal Devanath, Founder and CEO of SMERGERS.com spoke about alternative methods of financing. Among SMEs, Debt/Business loans is considered as the only form of financing. Mr. Devanath presented several case studies on how equity financing can be a viable route of financing for SMEs and also explained key Valuation concepts to business owners. Mr. Joe Joseph and Mr. Jim John from HP provided insights on the new technologies in the field of printers and workstations optimizing business costs. Mr. David Wittenberg, CEO of Innovation Workgroup, elaborated on how innovation in SMEs can be an important catalyst for growth and competitive advantage.
